Amber Champion

Hospital Manager/Technician

Amber began working with animals in 1998 as a veterinary assistant.  Over the years she gained extensive experience in client relations and animal care.   She joined the KAH team in 2000 as a receptionist and veterinary technician.  She has a passion for animals, especially Labrador Retrievers.   Amber loves caring for patients and communicating with their families.   In her spare time, Amber enjoys spending time with her three daughters, their six labs and numerous chickens.  Her hobbies include hiking, fishing, four-wheeling,  and going to dog shows. 

Stacy Perrone

Asst Hospital Manager/Technician

Stacy always has had a love for animals, especially the livestock on her farm.  She started her journey in the veterinary field in 2009 as a veterinary assistant.  She made her way up the ladder, eventually working for an orthopedic surgeon before coming to KAH in 2016.  Stacy and her boyfriend Nate have two dogs, Jackie & Barrett, and a flock of chickens.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, fishing, four wheeling, and spending time with friends and family.

Kim Bell

Administrative Asst./Technician

Originally from New Jersey, Kim has a strong love for helping animals.  She received a degree in Business at Rutgers University before completing the masters program in Biology at Southern University.  She started working at KAH in 2005, before leaving for Florida to fulfill her dream of working in a zoo.  She worked as a zookeeper for the birds and reptiles.  She returned back to KAH in 2012.  Kim has a houseful with 2 chihuahuas and 4 cats.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, going to the beach, traveling to visit family, and gardening.   

Janet Tietjen

Head of Surgery / Technician

Since an early age, Janet has been enthusiastic about learning new ways to help animals.  After years of working in the veterinary field, Janet came to KAH in 2008.  After work, she is greeted at home by her several furry, scaled, and feathered family members.  When she isn't working, she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and working with the developmentally disabled.

Karen Taubner

Technician

Karen joined our team in 2014.  She received her degree in biology from University of Delaware and later obtained her veterinary technician certification in Connecticut.  Karen loves all animals, however she has a special affinity for cats.  In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading and watching movies.  Her yearly goal is to read 52 books and see 52 movies in the theater.

Maggie Digan

Technician

Maggie joined KAH in July of 2018.  She received her associates degree in general studies of science from Manchester Community College in 2014.   She has been working in the veterinary field since 2015.  Maggie loves all animals, especially dogs, cats, and reptiles.  In her spare time, Maggie enjoys hiking with her dog Riley, snowboarding, and riding her dirtbike.

April Belcher

Receptionist

Throughout April's childhood, her love for animals became stronger.  She received her associates degree in Marine Biology.  She then started working as a veterinary receptionist three years before joining KAH in 2016.  She has a chihuahua, Sweet Pea, a rat terrier, Abbey, and a 21yr old cat named Shady.  When she's not working, she enjoys going on family adventures with her daughter, especially to aquariums and zoos.  

Marcia Harris

Receptionist

Before coming to KAH in 2015, Marcia started her veterinary receptionist career 22 years ago.  She takes pride in her knowledge and helping clients.  In her spare time, she loves to go to the beach and travel with her husband and their cat, Breezee.
